Stay At Home Mom

I know I am not the only stay at home mom out there that feels like they have life “figured out” when they have showered, gotten dressed, have their hair done, and have make up on.

Staying at home there are day’s when I am SOOOOOO lazy, and I literally just want to sit on the couch and not do anything, but I notice my attitude is HORRIBLE, I mean worse than a 2 year old. I don’t have patients, I don’t feel good about myself, and I feel depressed. Even though I shouldn’t be, because I am healthy, I get to stay home with my two wonderful (most days ;) ) kids, and we are all healthy as can be.

Having alone time when you are a mom, wife, friend, cleaner, laundry do-er, and whatever else you can fit into that category is hard, and it seems like it doesn’t exist. Just being able to watch a 30 minute show with no interruptions and enjoying a few potato chips or candy (come one, I know you sneak some :)), can be an absolute blessing and mood changer!

I really try to make it a habit and a MUST to get showered and half ready before the kids wake up, or at least before my toddler wakes up. Obviously a coffee or two before too (haha). I have been blessed with my daughter staying in her bed until I go in her room and get her and when I am ready and have had my coffee my whole attitude is completely different towards her. You don’t have to be fancy or “Cute” all the time, just “put together.” And have 30 minutes of “me” time!

I challenge you to try it for a week to get up early have some time to yourself, get ready, and enjoy a cup of coffee, and see how different you feel about yourself and how different your attitude is! You got this!

You moms that stay at home or work from home and get ready every day and are on top of life, I applaud you and envy you! Shout out to you, & I hope I can be just like you when I grow up! :)
